I joined as a founding engineer. I'm the CTO now. This space is where I think out loud about product, engineering, and AI.
In 2019, a year before Native Teams launched, I moved to Lisbon as a junior engineer. It was the middle of COVID. I built live-streaming platforms, cloud storage, and note apps. That year taught me to ship, and it showed me the opening that became Native Teams.
I joined as a founding engineer, before we had a product. 2020 to 2022 was the hardest stretch. The product was unclear. I built the landing pages and the first dashboards and split my time between marketing and the platform while we looked for product-market fit.
In 2023 I became Head of Front End. The team grew to 9. We moved from Vue to React, rewrote old code, and built a design system in Storybook. In 2025 we left the legacy app and rebuilt the frontend on a new monorepo with 15 engineers. Time to interactive fell from 10 seconds to 0.3. I spent more of that year managing people than writing code, and I pushed AI tooling so the team could ship like a much larger group.
Early 2026, I became VP of Product Engineering. Product and engineering stopped handing work across a wall and moved as one team. We shipped mobile faster and leaned further into vibe-coded solutions.
Six months later, I became CTO. I set the technology strategy and run product engineering. My job is to make agentic engineering pay off: shorter product cycles, a sturdier platform, and a team that ships faster than it did two years ago.
